Our 55th Session

Matthew Fancher is married to Leigh Anne Wright Fancher of Brandon, Mississippi. They live in Millport, Alabama with their precious two year old daughter, Lora Leigh.

Matthew grew up in Red Bay, Alabama and is the son of Jerry and Judy Fancher. He received his undergraduate degree from Ole Miss and his Master’s degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Matthew was called to preach the gospel in 2004. In his first ministry position he served as Associate Pastor and Youth at Oakland FBC in Oakland, Tennessee for almost 3 years. Matthew was called to the pastorate in 2008 by Springhill Baptist Church in Millport, Alabama.

Matthew is amazed by the grace of the Lord Jesus and is passionate about sharing the gospel of Christ. He is convinced that love is the only motivation of the Christian that actually leads to a godly lifestyle. Matthew calls on all people to accept the amazing grace of Christ, to be transformed by the Holy Spirit, and to live with the singular passion of magnifying the name of Christ.
